9th Plymouth Rapidplay

Details
Published: 15 December 2025

Tony Tatam CupPlymouth Chess Club celebrated its 9th Rapidplay event with a fine turnout of 40 entrants with a notable junior contingent with some as young as 9! The large field meant that play was conducted over two floors of the Bridge Club.Junior Player

The event was closely fought with the top five tables going into the last round with a chance of a prize. In the end, a Neil Crickmore and Giles Body emerged as joint winners on 5/6. Paul Hampton and Martin Goldschmidt shared joint 3rd. Given then field size there were many grading prizes too numerous to mention!Top Floor PlayGround Floor Play

Thanks for Tony and his colleagues for arranging and running a great event once again and for the hard working woman serving the drinks and lunches!
