Seaton is a small club with a big heart and has celebrated over 50 year of chess!
As well as the Axe Valley we have had players from West Dorset and as far afield as Honiton - and of all ages - as young as 12 through to players in their 90's!
We get together on Wednesday evenings from 6.30pm for friendly games or to play in the season's Club Championships.
Please check the Calendar for specific meeting times as we are currently not meeting every week.
We also enter a number of team competitions throughout the year.
Seaton players also play for Devon county in national leagues.
New members are always welcome. There's no fee or charges to come and try the club for a few weeks so please join us; you will be more than welcome. Please check these before you attend.

For the 2026/2027 season we will be playing in The Gateway, Seaton (marked The Town Hall on the map below).
There is some on-street parking in Fore Street and Queen Street. The Orchard car park on Beer Road (EX12 2PD) is free after 6pm.
From the West on the A3052, go right onto the B3172 at the Tower Services ESSO petrol station. Follow this road downhill to the T junction and turn right. At the traffic lights turn left and then turn right at the roundabout into Fore Street. The Town Hall is on the left at the end of the road. On entering the Town Hall, take the stairs to the 1st floor.
