The DCCA runs a number of team events throughout the season. These are one-day events open to all Devon clubs with most having a grade-restricted component to ensure the most competitive environment.

Details

The Devon County Chess Association (DCCA) history includes the formation of the Devon Junior Chess Association in 1997 and a strong tradition of competitive club play, with clubs like the Exeter Chess Club (1895) and others like Barnstaple Chess Club actively participating in county leagues and cups since at least the 1970s. The DCCA organises county teams and events for players of all ages and abilities, fostering competition and skill development through both junior and senior programs.
